I'm waiting for a response from NVIDIA regarding the actual steps of installing ethe CUDA Toolkit. I have just completed a clean installation of my laptop and have added VS2019 without issues. Or complaints to MSDN Support, feel free to contact Perry, This can be beneficial to other community members reading this thread. MSDN Community Support Please remember to click "Mark as Answer" the responses that resolved your issue, and to click "Unmark as Answer" if not. If so, please set the "/ FS" in the project and add this below in CUDA 10.1 props. # If you have a previous version of your projec and then you build it in VS2019, you must ensure that the environment parameters or toolset versions are consistent. When you build your project, type the command line like msbuild xxx.vcproj -t:Build -p:Configuration=Debug -p:Platform=圆4 HelloCudaĜ:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio\2019\Enterprise\MSBuild\Microsoft\VC\v160\BuildCustomizations\CUDA 10.1.targetsė64Īccording to your description, maybe you have lost the environment of building the CUDA and build version inconsistency.įirst, you should add the path of cl.exe environment variables into the Path.Since there are two versions of cl.exe platform, you would better choose the 圆4 version like: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio\2019\Enterprise\VC\Tools\MSVC\2\bin\Host圆4\圆4 SeverityĜodeĝescription Projectğile Line Suppression StateĮrror MSB3721 The command ""C:\Program Files\NVIDIA GPU Computing Toolkit\CUDA\v10.1\bin\nvcc.exe" -gencode=arch=compute_35,code=\"sm_35,compute_35\" -use-local-env -ccbin "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio\2019\Enterprise\VC\Tools\MSVC\5\bin\HostX86\圆4" -x cu -I"C:\Program Files\NVIDIA GPU Computing Toolkit\CUDA\v10.1\include" -I"C:\Program Files\NVIDIA GPU Computing Toolkit\CUDA\v10.1\include" -G -keep-dir 圆4\Debug -maxrregcount=0 -machine 64 -compile -cudart static -g -DWIN32 -DWIN64 -D_DEBUG -D_CONSOLE -D_MBCS -Xcompiler "/EHsc /W3 /nologo /Od /Fd圆4\Debug\vc142.pdb /FS /Zi /RTC1 /MDd " -o 圆4\Debug\kernel.cu.obj "C:\Working\NVIDIA\HelloCuda\kernel.cu"" exited with code 1. MSVC & CUDA Toolkit 10.1 might be mismatching and I really do not know what how to resolve that.

I cannot work out what this error meansĮxcept that it appears the target (versions) between I installed the latest Nvidia CUDA 10.1 Toolkit without errors. This is my third day struggling with compiling a simple HelloCuda CUDA project in visual studio 2019 (Enterprise).
